Coca-Cola deepens climate cooperation

It is Coca-Cola European Partners who have announced in the days that they are taking the next step in their sustainability strategy.
Reduced emissions by around 700 tonnes
The plant in Jordbro already has 100 per cent of the environmentally declared electricity from wind power, but now chooses to also compensate climate with the help of Vattenfall, a project that is expected to reduce emissions by around 700 tonnes. Sofie Eliasson Morsink , CEO of Coca-Cola European Partners in Sweden comments on the initiative:
- Our goal is to become fossil-free by 2030, and our energy is an important part of being able to reach the goal. We want to be involved and take responsibility and work constantly to drive a more sustainable business. By now choose climate-neutral electricity so we hope to inspire and encourage other companies to look at their carbon footprint from a holistic perspective.
Meets the climate goals for Agenda 2030
Through the organization Gold Standard , which reviews and quality assures the projects, Vattenfall has chosen to contribute to projects with solar and wind power development. All projects meet the climate goals included in Agenda 2030 .
